Notorious prison escapee Shaun Davidson who tunnelled his way out a Bali prison and has been on the run since mid-2017 is again taunting police, this time with claims he’s in Tasmania.
Posting on Facebook on Thursday, Davidson tagged a map of Tasmania with the words “Home sweet home”.
Davidson, 35, from Perth, escaped from Bali’s Kerobokan Prison in June 2017 when he was three months off finishing a sentence for passport fraud.
The allegedly globetrotting criminal has become something of a folk hero with social media posts claiming he was moving from place to place, successfully eluding authorities.
On October 12 last year, he posted a “check in” from Queensland’s Gold Coast after claiming to have partied in The Netherlands, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Barbados, Cuba and Dubai in the months since his breakout.

Last December, Davidson informed his Facebook followers that he was back in Australia for Christmas.
“Hey hey I’m back for Xmas ppl,” he posted on Facebook tagging Perth Airport.
Facebook followers responded with “Welcome home champ” and “be careful mate”.
Davidson then apparently checked into Hong Kong Airport on December 30.
The latest alleged pit stop of the elusive Davidson had followers posting messages of support with one writing, “see you tonight bro we’ve got the beers on ice already”.

Just before Christmas, Davidson informed followers he was back in Australia for the festive season before checking into Hong Kong Airport on December 30.
Earlier that month, Davidson claimed he had again eluded detection despite a close call with customs officers.
“Just went through customs got pulled aside for secondary inspection most nervous I’ve been so far. Hahaha still walked free positive vibes only,” he posted on Facebook.
Davidson’s daring escape from Kerobokan jail, the prison where the all Bali Nine members were originally incarcerated, was via a narrow, 12 metre tunnel dug beneath prison walls in June 19, 2017.
He fled with three other inmates, two of whom have since been arrested, with Malaysian national Tee Kok King, 50, like Davidson still at large.
