    Manchester United produced a brilliant performance to defeat Premier League side Southampton at the Saint Mary stadium to go joint league toppers with rivals Manchester City. 
  
    New signing Romelu Lukaku got the only goal in the game in the 20th minute when his header was deflected by Foster only for the Belgian to strike the rebound back in the net. 

   The home side pressed for an equaliser deep in the game, but Jose Mourinho men held strong, producing brilliant defense making sure all three points is secured. 

  In other Premier League matchday 6 game saw Tottenham struggle for a 3-2 victory over West Ham, Chelsea proved too hot for Stoke by trashing the Potters 5-0 at the Bet365 stadium, new boy Morata got his first hatrick in the encounter for the Blues, Manchester city added to the pressure on new manager Roy Hogson with a 5-0 trashing at the Eithad stadium.
