Footballer ‘stabs pregnant cheerleader in heart after leaving abortion too late’

A HIGH school footballer has reportedly confessed to stabbing a pregnant cheerleader in the heart after she left it too late to have an abortion.

DEVASTATING: Breana Rouhselang, 17, was allegedly stabbed by Aaron Trejo 

Aaron Trejo, 16, is accused of knifing Breana Rouhselang, 17, and dumping her body in a bin after she concealed the fact she was expecting his child, it has been claimed. 

Prosecutors say Trejo killed Breana and the unborn baby in their hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana, US, on Sunday.

Detective Gery Mullins, describing an alleged conversation with Trejo, reportedly revealed: “Aaron Trejo said he had been planning and thinking about killing Breana and the baby for about a week and had not told anybody.”

Trejo threw the knife and Breana’s phone into a river after the brutal killing, Detective Mullins claimed. 

The cheerleader is said to have been six months pregnant when her body was found in a restaurant dumpster just one street from where she lived with her mum. 

Trejo, who attended Mishawaka High School with Breana, has been taken into custody. 

Detective Mullins reportedly added that the teen stabbed his victim in the heart with a knife “because he thought it would kill Breana quickly”.

An autopsy later revealed Breana died from multiple stab wounds and had been strangled with a scarf. 

The school confirmed it is working with police investigators. 

Superintendent Dean Speicher confirmed Trejo and Breana attended school together but their relationship status is not known. 

Pupils took part in a silent vigil yesterday to honour their classmate, who was also a softball coach and football team manager at the school. 

“The Mishawaka High School family suffered a terrible tragedy,” the school said in a statement.
